OFSTED Registration and Inspections
The Abbots Langley After School Club is registered and regulated by Ofsted, who periodically visit and assess all aspects of the the club. We recently had our second inspection and are delighted to say that our club has been assessed as "good" in all areas and "good" overall!
OFSTED Comments (2018 report)
Staff are good role models and children form strong relationships with them. Children are warmly welcomed to the club. They settle well and confidently choose resources.
Children behave well and they are helped to understand how to respect each other's feelings. Good discussions from staff help children to recall appropriate rules of the setting and how to keep themselves safe during the day.
Children enjoy plenty of fresh air and exercise. They enjoy taking part in various purposeful activities, such as discovering how to use badminton rackets and shuttlecocks and playing popular ball games. This helps them to make friends and builds on their social skills.
There is a strong partnership with parents and teachers from children's school. Parents spoken to say that their children enjoy attending the club. They are complimentary about the staff and the care that they provide for their children.
The registered person and the manager evaluate the effectiveness of the club in detail.
They value the views of children and parents and include these in the process.
Children play happily with their friends and they follow rules during team games. Older children are very supportive of younger children.
